Sultan Abdul Hamid II Ka Vision Aur Musalmanon Ka Jazba
Sultan Abdul Hamid II ne apne mazhabi aur siyasi ehsaasat ko mila kar is project ka agaz kiya. Unka yeh vision tha ke Muslim ummah ke liye ek aisi misaal chhodi jaye jo ittehad aur qurbani ka paigham ho. Unhone duniya-e-Islam ke har kone mein paigham bheja ke yeh project ummat ke liye hai.

Har chhota aur bara hissa is project ke liye diya gaya, aur yeh ummat ki collective unity aur jazba-e-imaan ka saboot tha.
Tareekh Aur Tameer Ka Safar
1900 mein yeh project shuru hua aur German engineers aur Ottoman workers ne mil kar is railway ko tameer kiya. 1,320 kilometers ka route Damascus se Medina tak tay kiya gaya jo deserts, pahadon aur nadiyon ke darmiyan se guzarta tha.

1914 mein World War I ke shuru hote hi, Hejaz Railway ek strategic target ban gaya. Arab Revolt ke doran, T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) aur unke sathi railway ke mukhtalif hisson ko destroy karte rahe. Is sabotage campaign ne railway ke kaafi hisson ko teh-o-bardar kar diya.
World War ke baad, Ottoman Empire ka zawaal hua aur railway system ki maintenance band ho gayi. Yeh tareekhi railway dheere dheere ek khaab ban kar reh gayi.
